About
A career spent where business, science and public trust meet
I am a global corporate affairs executive based in Basel, Switzerland, with more than 25 years of experience in pharmaceuticals, biosimilars and medical technology. I lead strategic communications at Sandoz, where I steer the narrative for a newly independent generics and biosimilars leader across media, policy, investor and employee audiences.
My career has been shaped by regulated markets and unforgiving scrutiny: a compliance crisis in Japan, an antitrust action and congressional investigation in the United States, safety questions raised in the medical press, and pricing negotiations with German payers. In each case my approach has been the same — establish the facts, define one defensible position, and equip leaders to hold it.
I have built and led teams across Basel, Nürnberg, Tokyo, Brussels and New York, mentoring communicators at every level and designing operating models that hold up across time zones. I represent industry at the IGBA, EFPIA and vfa, and have convened policy-makers in Brussels, Washington and Tokyo on biosimilar access, intellectual property and supply-chain resilience.
A Fulbright Scholar with master's degrees from The American University and Johannes Gutenberg University, I speak German and English fluently, with conversational French and basic Japanese. Since 2023 I have mentored emerging leaders through the BevelOn Association and the Münchner Gespräche executive network.

Professional philosophy
Earned, not asserted
Credibility accumulates in small decisions and is spent in large ones. I believe communications should be treated with the same rigour as finance: a clear thesis, evidence that survives challenge, named owners, and measurement that tells you whether trust moved. Good counsel is often unglamorous — it slows a leader down by an hour so the company is not defending a sentence for a year.
Mission
Why this work matters
To help healthcare organisations earn the trust their science deserves — so that medicines reach the patients who need them, policy debates are informed by evidence, and the people inside the business understand exactly what they are building. That is the standard I hold my teams and myself to.
